Principal's Message

What an incredible first week of school! In my five years at Chambers, this truly felt like our smoothest start yet. Our students entered the building with excitement, learned new routines, began building relationships, and quickly settled into their classrooms. Throughout the school, I saw happy children, caring adults, and classrooms filled with meaningful learning.

A smooth beginning like this is only possible through a strong partnership between school and home. Thank you for preparing your children, supporting our arrival and dismissal routines, reading school communications, and trusting us to care for them each day.

Although we are off to a wonderful start, the beginning of a school year is still a significant adjustment for children. They are learning new expectations, navigating new friendships, and building their stamina for a full school day. Your child may be more tired or emotional than usual, and that is completely normal. We will continue to support every student with patience, consistency, and care as they grow more confident in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for helping us begin the year on such a positive note. We are so glad your family is part of the Chambers community!

Gratefully serving Chambers students, staff and community,
Mrs. Gann

Assistant Principal's Message

Dear Chambers Primary Families,

What a fantastic first week! I am continuously impressed by our students and how quickly they’ve jumped back into the rhythm of the school day. All students have spent time this week learning and reviewing CHAMPS expectations, and I have seen students embodying each trait: Courteous, Honest, Achieving, Mindful, Persistent, and Safe.

A huge thank you to all of our families for your support with logistics and for helping us keep things running smoothly by following our schoolwide procedures. Starting the year off right takes a collective team effort, and we are so grateful for your partnership as we start another school year. As we build this momentum, please remember that consistent daily attendance is vital to student success—especially during these first few weeks as foundational routines and classroom connections are established.

Each week, students will be introduced to a regulation strategy.  This week, our regulation skill focuses on the “Move It” category, which focuses on physical strategies that use your body to help regulate your nervous system. This week we are focusing on the strategy called Tense & Relax.

What is: Tense & Relax?
-Find a comfortable position.
-Squeeze each of your body parts, one at a time, for two seconds in the following order:
  • Toes and feet
  • Legs
  • Belly and chest
  • Arms and hands
  • Shoulders and neck
  • Head and face
We encourage you to practice and use the strategy at home too.

Looking forward to another successful week!

In partnership,
Ms. Catie Bartley

Reminders/Notifications

Request for Gently Used Clothing

Our health room is in need of gently used clothing donations. We need t-shirts and pants in all sizes. Packs of new socks and underwear are also appreciated. If you have a donation, please drop it off in the office between 7:30-3:30.

Back to School Night - September 16th

Our Back to School Night is September 16th with three sessions. There are two separate in-person sessions (5:35-6:00pm and 6:05-6:30pm) to allow you to attend multiple classrooms if you have more than one student. There is also a virtual option (6:35-6:55). Rather than an open-house model, teachers have presentations for families. Please arrive just prior to the start time for each session.

We kindly ask that you not bring children if at all possible. Parents are the audience and we want to ensure that we have the space and environment to answer your questions. If you will be attending virtually, teachers will send that Google Meet link through ParentSquare.
