Principal's Message

It was so wonderful seeing many of you at our Welcome Back Event. That is one of my favorite times of the year. All the smiles and excitement makes me anxious to get the year started. If you are new to Chambers, we are excited to have you. I know your family will enjoy being part of this community.

We have three days of school next week and all staff is ready to help our students get back into the routine. Thank you for partnering at home and helping your students get their bedtime and wake routines ready for school.

In other news, we are looking forward to the construction of a new school building. We would love to get your input on the design process. If you are interested, please use the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H3RB9NT

I can't wait for the first day of school! I'll see you Tuesday.

Gratefully serving Chambers students, staff and community,
Mrs. Gann

Assistant Principal's Message

Dear Chambers Primary Families,

I am excited to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal! I had so much fun meeting so many of you during our Welcome Back event, and the warm, welcoming energy made me even more excited to officially join the Chambers community.

I am beginning my 16th year in education. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching 2nd grade, 5th grade, and middle school English, as well as serving as an Assistant Principal in Kuwait and, most recently, as a Dean of Students in the Puyallup School District. I am committed to supporting every student’s success through building meaningful relationships and collaborating with families.

As we kick off the year, I want to emphasize the importance of daily school attendance—starting on day one. Building strong attendance habits during the very first week sets the stage for academic success, social connection, and a confident routine all year long. Every day your child is here, they are building relationships, and learning critical content and skills.

I am truly looking forward to partnering with you and getting to know all of our amazing Chambers Champs. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hello. Looking forward to a great year ahead!

In partnership,
Ms. Catie Bartley

Reminders/Notifications

Increased Traffic During the First Week of School: Just a reminder that there is usually an increased volume of traffic during the first week of school. This usually causes the parent drop off and parent pick up lines to take longer than usual. Thank you for your patience. If your student is eligible to ride the bus, we strongly encourage using that mode of transportation.

First Day of School Success

The first day of school is September 1st (Kindergarten students have a staggered start. Kindergarten families were sent that information in ParentSquare). School starts promptly at 8:15am. Students eating breakfast may be dropped off at 7:45am and all other students can be dropped off at 8am.

In our continued efforts to keep student safety as our foremost priority, only staff and students are allowed beyond the school office during the school day (including arrival and dismissal times). We will make extra staff available to support students during the first few days as they learn our arrival routines. If you feel you have a unique situation and your child may need additional support, please contact me or the Assistant Principal, Catie Bartley.

Students arriving at 8am will go directly inside to our cafeteria (if eating breakfast) or to the gym (bus riders not eating breakfast). Staff will guide students to follow their colored dots to their classroom beginning at 8:05.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership with us to help create a smooth start to what will be a great year.
