Afterschool Programs

A.C.E. Spanish Class - This program is a non-profit enrichment program that is offering Spanish. Classes are lively, interactive, and boost students' confidence in learning another language. WLCA Teachers follow a specialized curriculum and they are very passionate about sharing their language and culture with students.

Art for Kids - The program is process oriented and designed to enhance your child's enjoyment of art and creative expression. The emphasis is to acquaint children with various materials to enhance their self-esteem in regards to their creativity and to develop shills in a sequential learning program. The children have the opportunity to explore their creativity through a variety of materials including pen and ink, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, clay and plaster. Drawing techniques are incorporated in these classes as well as painting and sculpting.

Bricks4Kidz (Lego class) - Bricks4Kidz uses classic LEGO Bricks that kids love, to deliver high quality, educational play. Every class is a fun, enriching experience for your child, using the classic bricks loved by generations of children. The Bricks4Kidz approach to learning is imaginative, multi-sensory and fun, creating a dynamic learning experience for your students.

Competition Math Team
- Competition Math Team will meet each Tuesday after school for one hour (2:35 to 3:30).  Students will strengthen existing math skills and gain new competencies that they will use for the rest of their lives.  The club will be fun, but it will also be challenging as there is limited time to prepare for the competition. Mr. Stacey McClain  has taught math teams for 10+ years.

4th Grade Strings - to be offered directly before school, 2 days a week. Current 4th graders are given an option of playing a string instrument as a musical experience through our community schools program. Parents are responsible for obtaining an instrument and encouraging regular practice. There is a one time fee and classes will have two 45 minute lessons per week.
